Thanks for adding that Dogmatique! I kept re-reading my original post to see where I may have come across as implying it was 2 weeks a month Also.. to clarify, my husband will still be dropping them off on dad's weekend, so dad's not missing any of his regular time. I completely agree about ex MIL- in no way a party to visitation. Sometimes she just likes to show up and insert herself where ever she anticipates conflict.

I really appreciate the helpful and quick replies. I am a long time creeper on these forums, reading a lot of the advise, but am a first time poster. A very positive experience.

Well, it just seemed abundantly clear to me that you weren't gone half of the month every month. If it had, my answer would have (and if you've lurked here a bit you'll know this ) been completely different.

2 weeks a couple - even three or four - times of year is honestly nothing.
