My Parents Brought Me Here when I Was Young Without Papers - What Can I Do

Hello. My parents brought me to the states when I was very young and to this date I don't have my papers. I would like to know how I can become a permanent resident and what my options are? I applied for a green card through the green card lottery, but have not heard back yet. I find out October 1st. I am an adult and feel very limited with what I can do with my life because of not having papers. I am in need of advice on what to do. Thanks.

If you entered without inspection and have remained unlawfully in the U.S. through the present, and are now an adult who has accrued unlawful presence and a resultant period of ineligibility, there's very little you can do to avoid having to leave the U.S.

Winning the green card lottery will not negate your illegal presence.

You state you are an adult. Are you over the age of 18? If you are younger than the age of 18 years and 6 months, you should see an attorney immediately as you have not yet incurred a ban.

Did you enter on a visa and simply overstay - and do you have that proof?
