Default Can Your Parents Stop You From Taking Your Clothes

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arlington Georgia

My father purchased a pair of hiking boots for me, when I was 13 to go on a camp regulated trip for about a month. They cost about 200 dollars brand new, yet a few years have passed and they have become warn/used--yet are still wearable.

I plan to go out into my families Forest preserve on my mothers side Can I legally take them,(without his consent) since they where "gifted" to me under the age of 18? Or is it a luxury item?

You do not need to ask the same question about every item of property in your parents' home.

Aaron thank you for posting and I am working for the best of outcomes to assure the most durable of outcomes. But is it considered a luxury item because of the price?

Mike, you're heading for BanHammer Land.

Once more, keep it all to one thread. And, as you've been instructed, you don't need to ask about every single thing.

PACK UP YOUR CLOTHES AND GO.

Mike, the magic words are "I took it, because it is mine". It was given to me. That is why it fits me, is for a kid my age, is not something an adult would own etc...

I expect that a five-year-old pair of shoes, originally worth $200, is presently worth $5-$10, assuming the soles aren't dry rotting.
