Question How to Ask My Agency for a Written of Release

My question involves independent contractors in the state of: CA

I am at a point where I am going change the Agency but work under the same Client.

I do not have any Non Compete and Non Solicitation Signed with my current Agency/Employer.

The client I work for supports fully with my decision to change of Agency that they prefer.

Now, they don't have any obligation with the Agency I work for currently but they do advice me to get some kind of release from them so we can move on with the change. This will also covers my end on any legal obligations.

What is the Legal term to obtain this type of Release and how should I approach my agency to get this smoothly?

    Thank you all for helping!!

You know your agency and the people who work there - we don't.

You would approach somebody with the authority to release you, indicate your intention, and ask for them to release you. You would want the release to be in writing.
