    Default Modifying Child Support

My question involves child support in the State of: NY, possibly GA?

I recieve $12 a week in child support through NYS. It's been that way for 2, 3 years now. However, now I've learned he's making $13 an hour, well above what he had reported before, with no expenses (different than before also). His pay is $10 an hour on the books, $3 an hour as "travel pay" off the books. I've also enrolled in college and am beginning work, so child will need childcare outside of school hours. I've been in GA a year. Do i still need to modify the order in NY? Child receives medicaid through GA because father refuses to carry insurance as NY requested, so I recieved papers from GA child support office also. So..where do I start at? Thanks in advance.

    Default Re: Modifying Child Support

If you believe you are entitled to modify child support based upon a change of the payor's income, you can petition the court with jurisdiction over the custody order to modify the support amount. From what you've told us, that's New York.
