Default The Other Heir Won't Help with Clean Up

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Wisconsin
My father passed away a few weeks ago. He appointed my brother executer. The house and property was split 50/50. After the funeral we worked on cleaning out the house and splitting up the personal property. We agreed to sell the house, but have not decided on an auction or conventional sale.
The house is nice, but needs some work to get it ready for a future sale. My family and I have spent a lot of time over there working on the yard, fixing various things around the house that need attention, and cleaning. I noticed that my brother has not had interest in helping do any work. I asked him what was up, and he says he doesn't have any time and is busy with family things. I am a family man too, but have made the time. I think with a little sprucing up we should be able to get a little more for the place or sell it quicker. What can I do if he does not want to help?

    Thanks in advance.

you can always tell him you will get professional to do the work and the estate has to pay for it.

Since the brother is the executor, I would suggest that this is not such a hot idea. Only the executor can obligate the estate.

Looks to me like the options are:

    1) Stop doing the work.
    2) Come to an agreement with the executor that you will be compensated for the work.
