I posted the facts before but it never posted them. Broken forum.

The facts are.... My mother has been leasing an apartment with me and the lease runs out in Nov.. I have to move out of State at that point to owner occupy a new property and my mother has dementia so she cannot stay alone in the apartment or renew her lease.

I am planning to leave her with my Sister who is about 10 minutes away. Can I legally just drop her off there and go? Even if my sister wouldnt want me to do it ? She has no other family here.

I've taken care of my mother for 8 years you piece of ****ing ignorant shit while my Sister has done nothing. So before you ASSUME things you know nothing about you should maybe think before talking.

Again - why is it my responsibility? She's a person unto herself. I don't have to take her anywhere when she has family here. I don't have guardianship.
And the fact that you're telling me to take an 85 y/o woman with dementia on a 2,600 mile trip away just shows how truly stupid you are. I probably don't even have the legal right to do something like that.

Care facility takes TIME (which I do not have). It can take up to a year to even get approved for Medicaid and I sure as hell am not signing any retroactive papers making ME responsible for tens of thousands of dollars worth of nursing home bills should medicaid be rejected.
