You mean, to confirm paternity? That can be done on the basis of a cheek swab, so it's not painful to the baby. He can of course have his own DNA tested for whatever reason he pleases. Why would you object?

If you are speaking of the baby and you and he consider the baby to be his, then he is allowing his child to be tested. No problem there.

If you claim it is not his child, then he would more than likely require a court order to have the test performed.
