Minor Charged with Possession or Consumption of Alcohol

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Ohio.

I was arrested in Ohio but I live in Pennsylvania, so I am unsure of the Ohio law. I was caught with a beer in my hand in public by the police. I was not given a sobriety test or a breathalyzer test, how can they prove that I was drinking? (other than I had a beer in my hand). They had told me I would be charged with an underage drinking and I would receive a letter in the mail for my court date. Today, in the paper it said I was charged with possession or consumption of alcohol, not an underage. I would just like some advice on what I should do, if I should fight it, and what the consequences are. Will I lose my license? My record is clean and I have never done anything. I really need to know if I will lose my license, for I am a full time student and I also work full time. Please, someone help. Please leave your negative views out of here, I understand I am underage and drinking and it was stupid but I need all seriousness here.

You had beer in your hand. You state that you're charged with possession of alcohol. What more do you imagine that they need to prove that you possessed the beer that was in your hand?
