Recently a friend of mine accidentally ingested a possibly lethal amount of a drug thinking it was a much less potent drug, a minute after realizing the mix up she made herself throw it up but we were unsure if it came up or not. Poison controlled was called and a real name was given so the hospital could be ready for us to come in. When arriving at the hospital a fake name was used (I am aware this is illegal). No blood was drawn or urine taken and she was just hooked up to monitoring devices to make sure she was ok. She left on her own accord when it was clear that she was ok. All the papers and forms have her fake name on them, however one of the nurses did have the note from poison control with her real name on it. She is very concerned the hospital will make an attempt to correct the forms to have her real name and that the information about the visit will get back to the military.
Are hospitals required to report drug use to the military? I know military personnel sign away a lot of rights but does the military have access to current records or just the records at the time of joining. Would this only become an issue if she had reason to suspect her of if an investigation was conducted?
