Default How to Notarize a Form in a Different State

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: New Jersey. I have almost completed the probate process and I am running into a small problem with the refunding bond for a beneficiary that resides in Kansas. I have recieved the Notorized refunding bonds from all of the beneficiary's with the exception of one refunding bond/release that was sent to the benificiary in Kansas. Where the form needs to be notorized, says "State of New Jersey, County of _________".
The beneficiary has tried to get this document notorized , but the notary will not notorize it because it says State of N.J. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ken

Get a notary with a clue. The notary will make the attestation based on their state (and likely strike out the NJ reference).

Tell him to go to a notary with a brain, and ask the notary to either correct the state name or use their own stamp (assuming they have one) for a new notary block and to notarize it that way. It's not hard to draw a line through "New Jersey" and write in "Kansas".

Thank You, I felt that would be very simple also. I was going to send a new form without the state but didn't know if that would be acceptable. I was using the form that was given to me by the surrogate court. I will ask them to go to a differant notary first.

Thank you. They went to a differant Notary, and the notary just changed the state and notarized it. The Surrogate court office said that is fine.

Like I suggested - all they needed was a notary with an IQ above room temperature. I'm pleased that it worked out.
