First Cousin Marriage

My question involves marriage law for the State of: New York.

I do not clearly understand about first cousin marriage in New York. Is it a new law? May I have some information about it,pls? Is it possible if my cousin and I get marriage in New York? her mother is my aunt, she is on my mother side?

You posted this as being about common law marriage. New York does not recognize common law marriages formed within the state, whether or not they're between cousins.

New York allows first cousin marriages. You can get a license there even if you are not a resident, but you will have to have the ceremony preformed there.
As near as I can tell nothing has changed in NY on this subject for a while.
