did you happen to call the police and report this?
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.

there is a difference between harassment and assault. I have no facts to even start looking as to which would be appropriate but really, what is your question?

I don't understand any of this either. If the owner assaulted you then it's assault, not harassment. Period. Doesn't matter what you think NJ calls it.

If you filed assault charges against the owner, then you've done the appropriate thing. There's really nothing more to be done at this point except wait and see how the case plays out.

You can also file a civil suit against the owner for the assault, although it may be advisable to wait to do that until the criminal complaint is resolved. Your attorney can advise you.

OP, what actually happened? In describing the events, please do not use the words “assault” and/or “harassment,” terms of art with specific legal meanings which may or may not apply here. Please just tell us what the manager did to you on this occasion and, if applicable, on earlier occasions.
