What if a Used Car Buyer Doesn't Transfer Vehicle Title

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: New Jersey...

I have a sandrail vehicle, 1969 volkswagon.. I sold it to a person and he wants the title, so I did.. But this is my problem, I sign my information on the seller part but forget to have the buyer's information filled in before hand it to him.. Now what problems will I have if he forgets or didn't switch it over to his name or any other person for that matter to get my name off the vehicle??? I also turned in the plate before I sold it to him.. But my vehicle title is bothering me a lot.. What should I do??? Thank you.. Billy

For $15 you can run a title search on the vehicle, using form DO-22a. That should let you know if a transfer has been recorded with the DMV.
