Can I Work on OPT After My H1 is Approved

Hi,

My OPT is still valid for 4 more months but my H1 got approved last month. Can I still use my OPT how i can know if my change of status? Also second question is The employer(B) who filed h1 is different than the employer(A) i am working with using OPT. If employer (C) wants to hire me is it possible?, can i still use OPT or if new employer has to file will it be transfer application or a new application for H1 visa? Please reply urgently..

What is the start date on your approval notice? If it has passed, you are working illegally; you need to immediately report to work for that employer; your OPT is gone.

A new employer must file a new petition not under cap. One you are properly in H-1B status, you may transfer with the hope that C's petition will be approved. However, if it is denied, there si no requirement that the original H-1B employer must rehire you; in fact, he should have notified authorities that you had moved elsewhere.
