Collection of Judgments

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: California

I recently found out I was given a judgment against my back in 2010. I have not heard anything from the lawfirm since. Even before that judgment I was already gainfully employed.

My questions would be:
1. Why are they not enforcing this?
2. Can I reopen the case and offer new arguments?
3. Statute of Limitation on Judgments is 10years, correct?

1. You would have to ask them.

2. Probably not, but you haven't shared any relevant facts. If you are intending to claim that you were not served, watch out for the two year deadline for challenges based on nonservice.

3. A money judgment is valid for ten years, and can be renewed.

1. Im sure theres a reason and not just because they forgot about it. Its about $20k. But Im also afraid they might realize it and enforce it. and are they required to explain why?

2. My mistake was I just showed up in court in 2010 and didnt do my research. And while on the spot I knew there was a judgment, I never heard back since. I didnt deny the debt, but I also didnt look into the process in how they did the paperwork of the claim.

3. Easily renewable or has to have other clauses/causes for renewal?
