Default Criminal Charges for Car Hopping

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Alabama

Recently I was with some friends and they decided to go car hopping. I didn't want to take part of it, but I was walking with them as they tried door handles. Shortly after, I walked to my car and left while they were still breaking into cars. They both ended up getting arrested after mall security stopped to question them. They searched my friends car and came up with nothing, and they didnt take anything from it. The investigators know there was a third person, but should I be worried? I'm not in possession of stolen property, I wasn't in any of those cars, I mean hell, I wasn't even a lookout or a getaway driver. So my question is, can I be charged with anything?

The burden of proof needed to arrest you is relatively low - MUCH lower than what would be needed for a conviction, so theoretically, you could still be charged with attempted burglary to a motor vehicle. Doesn't require that actual access to the vehicle occurred or not.

Thanks for the fast reply! I don't know how much info they have in the investigation or what they are thinking, but I would hate to be dragged into something like this considering I didn't do anything wrong. Is attempted burglary of a motor vehicle a misdemeanor?
