Ticket for Parking in a 2 Hour Zone

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Minnesota

was Cited for traffic statue/ordinance 29-23.

I recently had borrowed my dad's car to get back and forth from school the past two days, and had permission from my friend, and my friends mom to park in front of their house. (which happens to be like two blocks from my school)

Anyways, I was cited for parking about 3 1/2 hours (I was in school, so I was there for about 7-8 hours, thankful I didn't get multiple tickets at least...)


But is this fair, and is there anyway to try to appeal it?

Is it "fair" that you were cited for parking for 3-1/2 hours in a space you knew was legal only for two hour parking? Of course it is. Was there some reason you weren't aware of the restriction?

What do you imagine to be the grounds for appeal?
