Mother Trying to Get Custody Back from a Guardian

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ok so I have a question. Mother signed over temporary custody to son's great uncle, now that mother wants full custody back the great uncle won't give the kids back. He is ignoring phone calls and won't let the kids speak with the mother. What does/can mother do to get her kids back? They are in charlotte county,Fl. thanks so much. ( she doesnt work yet)

When did this happen, was it through the courts, how old are the children and where is the other parent?

If this is a guardianship through a court, mom must petition the court to terminate the guardianship. What are the facts?
