My question involves criminal law for the state of: Montana/Tennesse (Marshal's raided my in-laws home in TN due to a tip that my husband was there; our son and I were in TN due to my job requiring me to be in the office instead of working from home but husband was still in MT).

My husband was on a U.S. Marshal's Wanted Poster for an arrest warrant and the USM's utilized not only a picture of him but also a family picture with him, me and our 11 year old child that was only accessible via facebook. Neither my son or I was not wanted for warrants, etc.

It has been acknowledged in court during one of his hearings and by various attorneys that this was wrong but I am unable to locate documentation of who can legally by on a wanted poster.

Is there anywhere that I can find the laws on this? I have tried repeatedly to speak to HQ for Montana but they are stating that the poster doesn't exist. I have a copy of the poster provided to my husband's defense attorney by the courts.

We are wanting to proceed with law suit if at all possible due to this and other circumstances.
