    Default International Property

My mother is English and owns property in the UK. She currently rents this property out.

She has moved to the US to be with me and my family. I am a US citizen and she is currently living here on a permanent VISA.

We want to get Wills and Power of Attorney in place so that if there is a death or medical issue I will be able to take control of the property.

Would a power of attorney completed in the US be legal in the UK?

Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? Would we need a lawyer or would any online forms suite our needs?

    Thanks in advance!!

    C

She will need to discuss her estate plan with a solicitor in the U.K.
