    Default Denied Social Security Benefits Due to Felony

    I pleaded to a felony in 2002, in 2007 I became eligible for SS benefits and recived a direct deposit check in april 2007, however, checks stopped I called the SS admin office and was told I do not qualify for benefits due to the felony conviction,,,please advise, iam now 65 and still no checks...what can I do???

    As long as you aren't in jail or fleeing/absconding from either arrest, prosecution, probation, or parole, it shouldn't be disqualifying.
    Just having been convicted (unless we're talking about SS fraud or something) shouldn't be a bar.
