    Default Ending Marriage to an Illegal Alien

    I married a woman I thought had papers but found out after the wedding that she is an illegal alien and doesn't really love me. She is now threatening to make my life miserable if I don't sponsor her and her daughter for citizenship. Can I get this marriage annulled? Should I seek legal council? Any advice would be appreciated...

    Whether or not you can annul your marriage will depend on the laws of your undisclosed state. A lawyer in your state should be able to clarify your eligibility; we cannot as you didn't follow the instruction to identify your state.

    Just divorce her.

    Don't sign ANY immigration papers - ESPECIALLY the I-864 Affidavit of Support.
