Default Student Loans and Bad Degree

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: TN

i went to a for profit tech school and didnt find out till later that the school itself is a joke and the degree worthless, because of this i am unable to get a job in the field i studied for and have been told in multiple interviews that they dont hire those with a degree from this school and those who will tell me i dont have the experience they need.

my loans are currently 60k+ for a 2year degree and are getting worse everyday, i cant pay them due to not having a job and i cant find a job that pays enough to pay the loans aswell as money to live on, food gas etc, is there anything i can do legally to either get some or all my loans taken away or something? this whole thing is stressing me out to the point that i cant take it no more.

thanks in advance for any help/advice

You can try to negotiate lower payments with your lender, but elsewise, no.

You seem to be operating under the assumption that a college degree is some sort of job guarantee. It is not. I am personally acquainted with a number of people with advanced degrees from well regarded, properly accredited schools who cannot find jobs in their field. Hello there, crappy economy.

When undertaking a post secondary education, it is incumbent upon you to do your own research prior to matriculation, to ensure that your degree will be recognized at all in your field. It is not the fault of the lender that you did not, nor is it the responsibility of the lender to mitigate your current circumstances.

That is not the fault of the lender. Your options are to pay or to default. One is difficult for you right now, the other will effectively bend you over without benefit of lube or a reach-around for years to come.
