Fiance Left Me and Their Stuff

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Michigan

We've been together for 5 years, engaged to be married, and they all of a sudden left me and all of their belongings in my house. They already skipped out on a prearranged date to pick up their stuff and now I no longer have means to contact them. At what point can I legally take ownership of their abandoned stuff and or dispose of it without legal consequences?

The most likely statute of limitations in Michigan is six years (contracts) or three years (damage to personal property).

If you want to dispose of your ex's stuff and want to be sure you won't have legal liability, go to court and get an order of eviction.
