Default Girlfriend Wants to Evict Me

My question involves an eviction in the state of: Florida

I moved in with my girlfriend over 2 years ago and now we are not seeing eye to eye and she keeps threatening to Evict me. I pay her 500.00 every 2 weeks for the bills and have never been late plus the electric bill has been in my name for over 2 years but the house was originally in her name but that lease was for one eyar and no new lease was ever signed by her or I.

?What is her legal standing when it comes to try and evict me when I have done nothing wrong like not pay the rent of break any rules by the landlord. Can she just make her mind to make me leave when I have been paying? and I have be also paying the electric. She pays the water and the cable and takes care of the food plus a few small things and I pay the rent and the electric?

I know she has been looking online as well for advice and information about what to do. What happens when there is no lease? I am just worried because I have no money saved and I have a minor child that I have to care for as well so I do not have 1500-2000 to just up and move out.

You would have to be evicted per the laws of Florida. You are considered a month-to-month tenant.

So it does look like you're going to need to find somewhere else to live soon - best start putting money aside. She cannot though simply kick you out and/or change the locks.

Your girlfriend is the master tenant. She has the rental agreement with the landlord. That means you are a tenant of your girlfriend. Yes, she can terminate your tenancy by simply giving you the proper notice. If you do not leave after that time has expired, she can evict you through the courts. If you do not leave after the court grants her a right to evict, she can eventually have the Sheriff come and physically remove you if necessary.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.
