Unfair Divorce Judgment

The final decree of my divorce wad a joke
Alabama law made it so obvious that they don't put an effort to make sure that both prties were treated equally. I was married to this man for 22 miserable years. An alcoholic, a bigamist, a deadbeat and four children later,I decided to divorce him only to find out that the judge ruling was against me who's done nothing but fight the world to give my children a better life. Is this justice? Its hard to believe that a Judge would rule the way he did. Not to ment,on that I'm a Filipino married to an American. The bottom line is, if this case was process in California I w witrould get everything. Is it too late to do anything about it? Please let me know.

According to any state laws after 10 years of marriage you are entitle to 50% of the marital assetts. He
Makes $100 a year. I was not accused of anything other than he say but paid $10,000 to his lawyer to make up stories that didn't excess. The Judge should spend more time on cases like this especially for the lenght of the marriage. But it is what it is. I mentioned CA because their law is much more accurate that is why each state ha e diffirent ways to handle them. Alabama is all about money and who pays more and I believe that

Therefore CA has absolutely nothing to do with Alabama law.

You're also misunderstanding the law greatly. If you're dissatisfied with the marital settlement, by all means hire an attorney to help you appeal (assuming you're still within the time limits).

My living in Alabama is a big mistake.I understand about the Law that's why I'm disagreeing with the ruling. I also realized that I could reappeal it but it won't do me any good if its still in Alabama. It requires money and that is somethkng he made sure I dhouldn't have.

California is a community property state.

You would NOT have gotten "everything". You would have gotten 50% of the marital assets.

I understand just fine. The law is twisted beyond re cognition. He was married to someone else and did it turn out in his favor only God can explain it. There's more to it than what I'm sharing you. My children and I lived in Shelters just because he refused to face his responsibilities.
