    Exclamation Wife Pregnant by Another Man, Shortly After Separation

    I have been seperated for 3 months and awaiting divorce. my husband is in the military. i just found out im about 7 wks pregnant and it is from another person. What will I have to do and how will it affect the divorce? Will the childs father be aable to be on the birth certificate?

    You will want the judgment of divorce to reflect your husband's nonpaternity. Some courts will defer to the parties' assurance that the husband cannot be the father; others will defer the issue of paternity until after the child is born and genetic testing can be performed to confirm nonpaternity.

    The rest depends upon the state that's involved.
