My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: NJ, Trenton
Last week I parked on a side street off Rt. 206 in Mill Hill Section of Trenton. There were no open spaces or Handicapped spaces available so I drove around and found a street that had spaces available. I parked, my Handicapped parking plackard was hanging & visible, I went to handle my business and a little over an hour later came back to find I had a ticket. The ticket was for parking without a permit. I looked around for a sign and found one back at the beginning of the street, I did not see the sign. The ticket is for violating a Trenton municipal ordinance and is a public street. I am assuming that this was to keep State employees from taking up the street all day long since there is not a lot of parking in Trenton. The parking is limited only between 9-5. Do I pay the ticket or does the Handicapped plackard permit parking?
