I lived in San Leandro CA. The owner of the house we are renting went on foreclosure. It was foreclosed on nov 23.2011 and i was handed a summons for ud on 1.11.2012. i was advised to answer the summons even if my name was not on the paperworks. we went on trial on 03.29.2012 and lost. later after the trial, i was asked if i was given 90 days after the house went on foreclosure before i was served and if i counted the days right, i only had 48 days.
my question is, Was i properly served by the new owner? Can i appeal the judgement against me regarding the eviction?
