What I Should Do with My Major Back Injury That Stopping Me from Living

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Florida.
I was in a car accident in August of last year, hit from behind at a red light. now I have constant back pain, I have a lawyer and everything and he sent me to a chiropractor after that, I believe my chiropractor also preformed physical therapy with his business partner. unfortunately my insurance ran out before I could start the physical therapy. I would have continued to see him but i'm only 23 and he didn't accept my insurance, nor do I really have the money to shell out to doctors. Now my back pain is becoming unbearable, I can't work because I can't stand or sit for a long period of time and i'm also in college. But now my mother is willing to pay for me to do physical therapy because if my back doesn't improve, my life is pretty much over. I want to be a RN nurse but I couldn't preform the duties required of that, I can't really think of any job i would want to do that my back could handle if it doesn't get better.
if anyone can give me any advice on what to do, or how to find a good physical therapist, I would be extremely thankful.

have you been to an MD or some specialist with an MD or an advanced medical degree? Not trying to be disparaging regarding chiropractors (I utilize them myself) but you need to know if you have any actual damage or not. A chiro usually does not have access to the same testing means that a med doctor does and can miss injuries.

also, what has your attorney said about a protection letter to anybody that might treat you?

yes, i went to an orthopedic doctor as well. I had an mri taken as well as a xray. I have a few bulging disc and herniated disc, the worse herniated disc is at L5. Also, it said i had multilevel facet degenerate disease, mild multifocal face degenerate disease. also mention muscle spasm pretty much every where. Than the xray told me I had scoliosis which i know isn't from the car accident but i never knew i had that so i'm sure that didn't help. pretty sure there was some other stuff which i totally don't understand but thats all i can remember at the time. i should go to another orthopedic, but the two i've been to seem so cold and that i'm just looking to get high or something like that. But it's really messing up my life. and i don't think i recall anything about a protection letter.

then tell them you do not want any more pain meds than absolutely necessary to diminish the pain while still being able to function in life. Tell them you want to do whatever you can to FIX the problem, not merely cover the pain so you can ignore the actual injury.

if you are looking at a suit, a lawyer often comes to an agreement with medical providers to delay payment of their services until your case is concluded. The problem with that is: if you lose or do not win enough to pay the medical treatment, you end up owing the remainder out of your pocket.
