How Long Do You Have to Sue for a Deposit Refund

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Florida

Can someone please advise what is the statue of limitations when filing a small claims suit in effort to get a refund of a vehicle deposit in regards to a private party? I am thinking it is 1 year but I am not sure.

For a breach of contract, depending on the full facts, usually two (oral contract) to four (written contract) years. For other causes of action the limitations period will vary.
