Car Loan Default by Ex-Spouse

My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Arkansas

My ex wife and I both have our names on a loan. The decree awards the vehicle to her along with full financial responsibilty. She has defaulted on the loan and I am being sued.

What course of action should I take?

Is she named as a defendant in the lawsuit? Does she have the money to pay what she owes?

Both of us are named in the suit. I pay her more than enough in Child Support and Alimony to pay what she owes.

You can file a cross-claim against her in the collection lawsuit, asking that she be compelled to reimburse you for any amount you have to pay to resolve the judgment. You can also seek to enforce your divorce judgment through the custody court, although you should not anticipate that the court will suspend child support payments to offset an obligation under the property settlement.
