My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Georgia
I have a NJ driver's license and I was driving in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since I am not familiar with the roads, I've made improper left turn i didn't know that i wasn't suppose to do that and police stopped me. He told me that I wasn't supposed to make the left turn and asked if I live in NJ since I had a Jersey license. I told him I was visiting my parents and that I don't live in Atlanta. The police wasn't even nice enough to just give me a warning.
I have never gotten a ticket before, so I am not sure what I should do.
The cop told me I can pay the fine or go to court. I was nervous at the time to ask if I get points.
Do I get points on my driver's license for this improper turn?
What can I do to get rid of the points at court?
If I just pay for the fines, the points will still be on my driver's license right?
What options do I have? I'm quite clueless since this is my first time.
