How Do I Clear an Arrest Warrant Issued 13 Years Ago for a Vehicle I Did Not Own
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
I received an arrest warrant for no current registration or evidence of insurance for a car I was going to purchase. The owner sold the vehicle to another party and I have not seen or heard from him since 1999. I have been hired for a job and must clear my record before I can begin working. What do I do?

If you never purchased the vehicle, how did DMV associate you to the vehicle? Did you complete paperwork to transfer ownership but then never completed the purchase? Has the vehicle been floating around for 13 years with no new owner ever applying for the title or registering it?
