Default Are Legal Fees Included in a Settlement

My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Arizona

After 16 months the courts have decided in my favor and compensation for the last 16 months has been awarded; less 25% for my attorney fees.

    My question is:
With the courts having decided in my favor in that my injury was a result of my work responsabilities; why is my former employer responsible for my legal fees?

    Thank you

    i think you misunderstood.
your former employer is NOT responsible for your atty fees; you are.
you should have a written agreement between you and your atty. it should state how fees are to be handled.

Do you have something in writing that says different?
