My question involves real estate located in the State of: IL
I planted zoysia grass in my yard 7-8 years ago, in part to provide a boundary against my neighbors yard of chickweed, dandelions and crabgrass. This winter the neighbor complained about the early yellow color of the zoysia said that he didnt ask for zoysia in his lawn and asked what I was going to do about it. I told him we would look at it in the spring, that it didn't make sense to disturb the lawn in winter.
Before I commit to doing anything I am curious what are my legal obligations in this dispute ?
I dont want this to become an open ended obligation that allows the neighbor to demand I take care of his lawn. I have spent many hours over the years weeding and spot spraying to control weed seeds and plants that come from his lawn. I dont see my creeping grass being any different than his abundance of weeds and crabgrass resulting from his indifference to maintaining his lawn.
