Default Police Unwilling To Help Person Wrongly Accused of Battery
My ex boyfriend lied, had me arrested for assault, charges dismissed 4 mths later, evicted him from my home that I own, have police coming to my home since his departure 6/4 checking on I don't know what. He is using the system to get housing for low income survivors of D/V, food stamps, and is calling me on the secure phone line at the housing to harrass me. I have asked the officers to file harrassment charges against him, they are unwilling cause I really believe on some level they think i did it. The problem for evryone involved seemed to be the self injury he did. They can't get over that someone would do that to themselves. I have never seen the injury so I have no idea what they are talking about. He has threatened to reopen the criminal case. He can't it's dismissed and sealed.Yes they have suggested I change my # but I see this as a safety valve. I'd rather he leave a message then show up at my home or job trying to contact me.I am now working with the DV Group he intially was working with to try and get this to stop. I don't know what the answer is. I have followed all the right legal procedures and have done everything in my power to descalate this situation. It doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I would be better off if I was a screamer or bully like him. The legal system seems to give you more creedance.

My question is why is he allowed to call and harrass me after the case against me was dismissed (it never happened). I have had the DA, the police and my criminal lawyer tell him to cease and desist. The DV Cops actually spoke to him on their second visit here after I told them he doesn't live here. They are unwilling to charge him. What other recourse do I have?
