Is My Tax Refund Lost to Social Security Again

i had received SSDI and SSI some years ago because i had brain cancer. thankfully, i returned to work after brain surgery and chemotherapy. last year my tax refund was taken by social security because they said they overpaid me. no problem, i can accept facts. but this past year they notified me that i owe them even more money. so i went through the weeks/months long process of setting up a repayment plan with them and last month i made my first payment to them in accordance with their repayment plan.

can anyone tell me if they will take my tax refund again this year even though i am in a repayment plan? thanx in advance for any thoughts or website search ideas/help!!!!

Have you only just filed your taxes?

If so, they might intercept your refund if the repayment plan hasn't been processed or in place long.

Look on the bright side though - it just means the debt will be repaid faster.
