    Directing someone to the EEOC when he/she should be going to a completely different place with a completely different name is not exactly a small mistake.
    I certainly understand and respect what you're saying. However, we STILL don't know exactly what the OP's issues are, so are we to assume the EEOC is NOT the venue ?

    I honestly am not trying to be argumentative. Seriously, I'm not. At the very least, the OP, in contacting EEOC would either find a solution there (assuming the wage and hour question might be related to some discriminatory practice) or be directed to the DOL if that's where the solution is to be found.

    That's all I'm saying. We don't have enough specific information from the OP to narrow down the resource he/she needs (short of private legal counsel). Therefore, I'm not really wrong, just perhaps a bit premature.

    Completely setting aside the above discussion;

    It is true that this board does not provide attorney referrals. However, the OP might find what they are looking for by inquiring of their local Bar Association, the local Legal Aid society, or any law schools in their area.

    Oh please. The OP has said nothing about a wage and hour problem based on discrimination. OP says there is a wage and hour issue. And that's all OP says. Where you got the idea that illegal discrimination is an inherent component of the OP's issue I don't know, but you sure as heck didn't get it from the OP, nor did you get it from this thread.

    There are no discrimination issues here until the OP says that there are. Because the OP has said absolutely nothing about discrimination, this is not a discrimination case. And because this isn't a discrimination case, there is no reason whatsoever to involve (or even mention) the EEOC.

    Making assumptions based on nothing just emphasizes your inexperience.

    If he hasn't already gone haring off to file a wage and hour complaint with the EEOC.
