My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: California
Today I received a phone call from a man claiming that one of my employees made a sexual solicitation toward his 14 year old son, which the son refused. The man telephoned me from a pay phone, and when I asked him why he hadn't gone to the police with this claimed that he did not want to put his son through any more trouble. He claimed that this is why my employee had to leave the town where he had lived with this man and his son.
I don't have any way of identifying the man or son, so I'm not sure what to do. It almost seems as if this man has some sort of axe to grind against my employee, but I don't want to minimize the possibility that this actually having occurred. What if this is just some sick revenge game? What if my employee actually did solicit the teenager?
