My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: California
If working full-time as a federal employee on a term contract, upon expiration of that contract am I eligible for UI in California?
The contract runs for four years and expires in July of 2013. The position might or might not be re-offered but even if it is, I would have to re-apply (i.e., the position would not be simply offered to me again) and go through the complete, open, competitive hiring process.
So, upon expiration of term employment where the end date is part of the contract and known in advance, is the worker then eligible for UI?
