Default Can I Abandon My Mobile Home

My question involves a mortgage in the state of: California

We have a mobile home on rented land with a seriously underwater mortgage. We went into default a few months ago. We have requested a deed in lieu of foreclosure from the bank & are waiting to see what happens. If they say no, what can we do? We really don't want to live here anymore. If we surrender the property to the bank (ie. jingle mail), will we still be responsible for the space rent?

You are renting the lot separately from the purchase of your home, so your obligations to your landlord are separate from your obligations to your lender.
