My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: California.
I recently received a copy of my credit report and noticed that two collection agencies are reporting for the same cable account. Can they do this? How would I go about settling this?

CBA Collection Bureau, Reported: 12/2009, Assigned: 08/2009, For: Cable-Time Warner, Amount: $122, Account Status: Closed
Should I call the collection companies or write them a letter? I'd like to settle this but I don't feel that I should have to pay twice for one account.
