How Can My Foreign Fiance Adopt My Child

My question involves adoption law for the State of: nebraska
so im engaged but pregnant with another guys baby. the father wants to give the baby up for adoption to another couple. my fiance who is from south africa and here on a work visa wants to adopt the child. can my fiance even adopt my child if he is not a citizen of the united states? if the father agrees to give up parental rights can my fiance adopt the baby before we are married? its been a huge nightmare and the only thing since i dont know anything about law is to hire 2 different lawyers. one for immigration and one for the adoption. any ideas or helpful suggestions?
