My question involves adoption law for the State of: North Carolina My husband wants to adopt my daughter and is the only daddy my daughter has ever known. Her biological father was only in her life for nine months when she was two and she is now five. He has never supported her, is not on her birth certificate and is an illegal immigrant. Can my husband adopt my daughter, and how would we go about doing so?
