Division of Assets Without a Property Settlement

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Louisiana

My husband and I were divorced in 1990. We did not get a property settlement at that time. However, he has a company pension and retired in 2006. I was unaware of his retirement. I know, by Louisiana law, I am entitled to 50% of this for the years we were married (12). He has been receiving this annuity since 2006. I am now trying to get a property settlement. My question is: Am I entitled to my part of what he has already received since I was unaware of his retirement? Thanks.
