    Default Wage Garnishment

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Texas

I have a judgement against me in the state of Colorado. I am currently working in the state of Wisconsin, but for a company headquartered in Texas, with mypayoll coming from Texas. Are my wages subject to garnishment?

If the stay is lifted, the bankruptcy is over, and the debt was declared nondischargeable by the bankruptcy court, the judgment creditor can collect the debt. If they have obtained a wage garnishment order to collect the debt, then presumably they'll use it to garnish your wages to the extent permitted by the order or law.

Even considering the Texas ban on wage garnishments?

Texas can indeed garnish your wages on behalf of a creditor in certain circumstances.

Also, even if your wages are exempt, they can still go after your bank account the very second your wages hit the account.

Which is why my wages are deposited to my wife's account. Thank you for your feedback.

When you try to hide money in somebody else's account, commingling it, you put their account at risk of garnishment and may create an uphill battle for them in arguing that part of the money should be returned on the basis that it's "theirs".
