Default Submitting 30 Day Notice to Remove Personal Property

My question involves personal property located in the State of: CA

Sent a Certified letter return receipt requested for 30 Day removal of personal property. The Postman left a notice of Certified letter at the residence and instructions to pick up letter at the Post Office. After 15 days the letter will be returned if it is not picked up. If he doesn't pick up the letter have I met my legal obligation to give notice and proceed with removal and disposal of this persons property? If not, what else should I do?

    Thank you.

Send another one by regular mail and file a proof of mailing. It's probably more than is necessary, but it's never a bad idea to cover your backside.
