My Father Will Not Let Me See My Sisters

My father sent me away from my home in Florida December 5, 2011. Since then he refuses to let me talk to my baby sisters. One of which is not his child due to an affair my mother had. His name went on the birth certificate anyway. He will not let me come see them or even speak to them on the telephone except for Christmas and Birthdays. I am in activily in church and not mean or abusive in anyway so I don't understand why he wouldn't let me see or talk to my sisters. All he ever say is "Not until the divorce with your mother is final". This is because I live in mississippi and only about 2 hours away from her. But the thing is..We don't even speak. I love them to death and when my mother abandoned us in 2006 I took on the mother role at age 12. I love them very much and would protect them from anything which is why I am torn apart that I cannot see them..is there anything I can do? Is he even legally allowed to do this?

Unfortunately, Florida courts have held that adult siblings do not have any inherent right to visitation with their younger siblings, and that the courts do not have authority to order such visitation.

I think you need to reflect on the reasons you were sent away from home last month. Those reasons may have a lot to do with your fathers stance.

And it no longer matters that the one child isn't biologically his, legally he is her father and has been for at least 5 years.
